Planted in April 2014, this tree was difficult to mow around on account of it being right on the border between the orchard and what was becoming a fire circle / central gathering area. It became very weed bound. Clippers were used May / June 2015 to clear away weeds. The tree is much smaller than its partner Toka Plum (tree #3). The tree actually has more fruit on it than tree 3. I attribute that to the impact of 17 year cicadas and some other insect that creates webs in tree 3.
I have concerns that Brown Rot on the Stanley Plum in the main yard could be carried to the Tokas by Japanese Beetles.
